Key Responsibilities:- Develop comprehensive machining strategies to convert design specifications into precision-engineered components.
- Generate machine programming for 5-Axis Mills utilizing Mastercam and/or Esprit software.
- Engage collaboratively with machinists, supervisors, and quality assurance personnel to achieve production timelines and performance targets.
- Formulate manufacturing plans tailored for high-volume production runs.
- Design custom tools and fixtures as required to enhance operational efficiency.
- Establish setup protocols to ensure accurate alignment of geometry from CNC programming to the physical workpiece.
- Select appropriate tooling for specific job applications, considering various operational factors.
- Validate machining programs using Camplete prior to handover to the production team.
- Identify and implement process enhancements aimed at reducing machining and setup times while improving part quality.
- Maintain meticulous file configuration control and comprehensive job records.
- Adhere to safety protocols within the manufacturing environment.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in CAM programming.
- At least 2 years of experience in CNC machining operations.
- 1+ years of experience with Mastercam or Esprit software.
- Experience with Solidworks is advantageous.
- Thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with aerospace materials including aluminum, titanium, inconel, and stainless steel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of machine shop and quality laboratory tools and equipment.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills.
- Able to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
