Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Mill Programmer to oversee projects and ensure excellent quality control at MBK Machine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing machining strategies, creating machine programs, and collaborating with machinists/operators to support program schedules and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machining Strategy Development: Take design data and produce machined hardware with precision and accuracy.
  • Machine Program Development: Create programs for Multi Axis Mills in Mastercam and/or Esprit, ensuring seamless integration with our manufacturing processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with machinists/operators, supervisors, and quality inspectors to mitigate manufacturing risks, improve operational efficiency, and drive quality control.
  • Manufacturing Planning: Develop plans for high-volume production, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of machined parts.
  • Tooling and Fixture Design: Design custom tools and fixtures as needed to support our manufacturing processes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, reducing machining/setup time and improving part quality.
  • Configuration Control: Maintain configuration control of files and job records, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Safety and Quality: Safely work within a manufacturing environment, adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of CAM programming experience
  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience
  • 1+ years of Mastercam or Esprit experience
  • 1+ years of Solidworks experience preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with alloys commonly used in aerospace applications (aluminum, titanium, inconel, stainless steels)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with machine shop and quality lab tools and equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
