Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Catholic Charities of Central Washington is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in providing high-quality psychiatric care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a compassionate and dedicated individual to work collaboratively with our team to provide comprehensive care to our clients. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments, assessing physical health needs, making appropriate referrals to community physicians, and providing management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide service coordination (Case Management) for an assigned group of clients, including coordinating and monitoring the activities of the Individual Treatment Team (ITT).
  • Assume responsibility for developing, writing, implementing, and revising overall treatment goals and plans in collaboration with the client and registered nurse on assigned consumers.
  • Provide individual supportive therapy and symptom management, with the collaboration of the registered nurse, ensuring immediate changes are made in the treatment plans as client needs change.
  • Consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment process.
  • Provide on-call Crisis Intervention covering night time and weekend hours.
  • Document client progress to maintain a permanent record of client activity according to established methods and procedures.
  • Participate in daily staff organizational meetings and treatment planning review meetings.
  • Participate in providing medication administration and medical services.
Requirements:
  • Licensure to practice as a licensed practical nurse within the State of Washington.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's license and minimum required liability insurance for WA State.
  • Must be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities' liability insurance provider.
  • Preferred 1 year's experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting.
  • Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illness, and respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment.
