Job Summary

Arclin is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Operator E to join our team in Toledo, OH. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing and Processing: Manufacture resin and formaldehyde and/or related surfaces according to established procedures and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Material Handling: Unload and load raw materials and finished products following established procedures, including tanker trailers, railcars, box trucks, and bulk trucks.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a forklift to load/unload raw materials, including drums, totes, and bags.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with management to meet production and shipping schedules, and ensure required shipping documents are completed and procedures are followed to be in compliance with all regulations and corporate requirements.
  • Safety and Quality: Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee to facilitate safety improvements, and follow all site rules and procedures as they apply to quality, health, safety, and the environment.
  • Process Monitoring: Visually monitor processes within your area of accountability and immediately inform the Lead Operator of any deviations or abnormalities.
  • Problem-Solving: Respond to process alarms and interlocks promptly, and coordinate timely confirmation and corrective actions to resolve conditions generating the alarms and interlocks.
  • Quality Control: Perform In-Process Checks (IPC's) to verify batch progression and quality using laboratory equipment, and perform troubleshooting in the event of process deviations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Forklift experience a plus, but must be able to become certified. Capable of driving a tractor/tanker unit or being able to learn.
  • Skills: Analytical and mechanical mindset needed to be successful in this role. Previous chemical/processing experience a plus. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb frequently, working in elevated areas. Will lift an average of 50 lbs frequently. Basic computer skills required. DCS Distributed Control Systems experience a plus. Basic math skills required, including the use of a calculator.
