Job Summary

The Safety Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the Safety Team and log managers, working closely with Safety Management. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal regulations, industry standards, and company policies. In this position, the Safety Administrator will handle data entry, implement and audit regulations, and provide training to promote a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safety and health administration assistance to the log managers, employees, and the safety team.
  • Conduct onboarding and qualification of new driver applicants.
  • Audit driver qualification folders to ensure compliance with requirements for new driver applicants.
  • Perform review of monthly safety and health terminal inspections for regulatory compliance.
  • Pull various safety reports daily, review them, and distribute them to the appropriate parties within the safety department.
  • Maintain records on various safety logs.
  • Conduct outreach to employees to promote safety awareness throughout the organization.
  • Track driver vehicle inspection reports, ensuring proper repair and documentation of vehicles.
  • Assist the Safety Team with tasks as needed, especially during peak seasons.
  • Promote a "Safety Culture" by supporting safety initiatives.
  • Support initiatives to measure and reduce at-risk driving behaviors.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in safety, transportation, logistics, or a related field.
  • Training and auditing experience is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of fleet safety principles, regulatory compliance, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and execute multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities.
  • Proactive approach to taking initiative and seeing projects through from concept to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growing team environment, while maintaining professionalism and drive.
