We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at Lisa Academy. As a key member of our Special Education department, you will work closely with our speech-language pathologists to provide essential communication services to students who require intervention.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students.
- Provide drill and practice sessions to students, recording correct and incorrect productions.
- Maintain accurate progress notes and transfer information onto Medicaid documentation forms.
- Assist with conference paperwork, filing, and maintaining therapy room supplies.
- Support large groups, such as integrated therapy and inclusion classes, under the supervision of speech-language pathologists.
- Update computer information on students receiving speech-language therapy and escort students to and from sessions.
- Make phone calls to schedule screenings and conferences, and convert raw test scores to standard scores and percentiles.
- Participate in necessary trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or completion of a speech-language pathology assistant training program.
- At least 100 hours of fieldwork experience in speech-language pathology assistant responsibilities.
- Prior SLPA experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
