Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Analyst to join our team at Clackamas County. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and promoting sustainability, waste reduction, and resource conservation initiatives across various sectors, including businesses and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and track data to inform sustainability initiatives and programs
  • Develop and deliver presentations and training sessions to various audiences on waste reduction, recycling, and sustainable practices
  • Provide technical assistance and support to businesses and organizations to improve their waste reduction and recycling programs
  • Collaborate with team members to create outreach materials and promote sustainability initiatives
  • Represent Clackamas County at local and regional meetings and workgroups to advance sustainability goals
Requirements
  • Minimum of four years of related experience in sustainability, waste reduction, and resource conservation
  • Experience conducting research, tracking data, and interpreting reports
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sustainability, resource conservation, or a related field
  • Experience developing and implementing sustainability programs and initiatives
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and tools
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Work Schedule

This position works 40 hours during a standard workweek, with flexible scheduling options available. The exact schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager during the time of offer.
