Position Summary
We are in search of a skilled and motivated Plant Engineer to enhance our operations. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, exceptional analytical abilities, and a commitment to optimizing spray drying technologies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Design and Development
Design and refine mechanical components and systems specifically for spray drying machinery. Conduct comprehensive engineering analyses and simulations to guarantee optimal performance and dependability of equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to devise innovative strategies for process enhancement.
2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Oversee the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical systems and machinery. Formulate and execute preventive maintenance protocols to reduce operational interruptions. Offer technical guidance and training to maintenance and production personnel.
3. Process Improvement
Evaluate existing mechanical processes to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement. Apply engineering solutions aimed at boosting efficiency, lowering expenses, and elevating product quality. Monitor and assess the functionality of mechanical systems, recommending upgrades or modifications as necessary.
4. Project Management
Lead engineering initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget constraints. Develop comprehensive project plans, specifications, and financial estimates. Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to secure project success.
5. Compliance and Safety
Ensure that all mechanical systems and processes adhere to industry standards and regulations. Foster a safety-first culture and implement best practices to mitigate risks. Conduct risk assessments and initiate corrective measures as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in an engineering or project management capacity, ideally within the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other engineering design applications.
- Experience with RSlogix software or PLC programming tools.
- Strong grasp of mechanical systems, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
- Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and project management capabilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with spray drying technology and machinery.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in the spray drying sector.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
