- Manage pricing strategies for parts.
- Collaborate with upper management and Human Resources for hiring and disciplinary actions within the parts department.
- Work closely with direct supervisors to drive department profitability.
- Oversee documentation and recordkeeping processes.
- Direct merchandising and display strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with manufacturers.
- Conduct or supervise annual physical inventory counts.
- Participate in weekly management meetings.
- Promote effective employee relations.
- Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above company standards.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Engage in required training sessions.
- Accurately record all hours worked in the company timekeeping system.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The qualifications outlined below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position:
- Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or higher.
- Field of Study/Experience: Background in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or Information Technology.
- Experience: Management or supervisory experience is preferred, along with strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of automotive systems and parts.
- Certificates and Licenses: Automobile Salesperson License is a plus.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning the parts department's inventory and ordering system.
- Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, as well as effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Attendance Expectations: Regular and predictable attendance is essential, with potential shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Demands: The role requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting, with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
