Job Summary

As a key member of the Transcend Hospice team, the Community Liaison plays a vital role in fostering strong relationships between the agency and the community. This position is responsible for developing and promoting programs and services that meet the needs of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counsel to the agency on community needs and program development, including personnel and financial requirements.
  • Collaborate with administrative and supervisory personnel to direct programs and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, community agencies, and the public.
  • Develop and implement a public relations program to promote the agency's services and foster good working relations with the community.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare arena.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, the lay, and professional public, the Board of Directors, and the Medical Director.

Working Conditions:

  • Works under a variety of conditions in facilities and offices.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule and travel locally.
  • Some exposure to unpleasant weather.

Physical and Mental Effort:

  • Sitting is required.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
  • Ability to travel.
