Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our adult/geriatric ESRD patient population. This includes assessing individual patient needs, determining and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating and revising the plan as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD)
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop and implement a plan of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
  • Initiate and provide ongoing patient and family education, including patient/family in care planning
  • Maintain effective communication with physicians, ancillary services, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Responsible for maintaining standards of professional nursing practice and delegating tasks appropriately
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: A.D.N. or nursing diploma required
  • Ability to license in the State of Alaska
  • Leadership ability and organizational skills
  • Computer software knowledge
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to understand and implement government standards
  • Strong belief in quality patient care and maximizing clinical performance measures for each patient
  • Commitment to principles of customer service for patients, staff, and physicians
