Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our adult/geriatric ESRD patient population. This includes assessing individual patient needs, determining and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating and revising the plan as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD)
- Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, develop and implement a plan of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Initiate and provide ongoing patient and family education, including patient/family in care planning
- Maintain effective communication with physicians, ancillary services, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
- Responsible for maintaining standards of professional nursing practice and delegating tasks appropriately
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: A.D.N. or nursing diploma required
- Ability to license in the State of Alaska
- Leadership ability and organizational skills
- Computer software knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to understand and implement government standards
- Strong belief in quality patient care and maximizing clinical performance measures for each patient
