About the Position

The State of Mississippi is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Revenue Specialist I. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing tax returns, vehicle titles, and other documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with state tax laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process tax returns, vehicle titles, and other documents to verify accuracy and compliance with state tax laws
  • Process applications and assist taxpayers with payments, returns, and general tax information
  • Review reports for discrepancies and identify areas for improvement
  • Purchase materials, supplies, and equipment as needed
  • Perform entry-level clerical accounting functions and provide administrative support as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 4 years of experience in a related field
