KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary focus of this role is to innovate and refine carbon scaffolds designed for silicon material integration, in alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading initiatives to develop advanced carbon scaffolds.
- Identifying and procuring novel or alternative carbon precursors to enhance the performance of silicon materials.
- Collaborating with external partners to secure essential material supplies for product innovation.
Extensive expertise in carbon material synthesis and characterization is crucial, along with a robust understanding of polymer and organic chemistry principles.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Advanced degree in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the battery or active anode sector.
- Expertise in carbon material synthesis and characterization, particularly in developing carbon scaffolds for silicon materials.
- Strong grasp of polymer and organic chemistry concepts.
- Proven laboratory skills, including the design and execution of experiments.
- Familiarity with battery material synthesis and characterization methodologies, along with the ability to analyze electrode performance and correlate it with material and process parameters.
- In-depth knowledge of battery materials, interfaces, electrolytes, and electrochemistry to enhance the understanding of battery performance mechanisms.
- Ability to interpret analytical and electrochemical test data to establish connections between processes and properties.
- Creative and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of challenging conventional business paradigms.
- Comprehensive knowledge of silicon anode materials and their applications, with a global perspective to engage effectively in an international marketplace.
- Strong influence skills to align technical and business teams on decision-making.
- Market expertise in silicon material applications within lithium-ion batteries.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and successful collaboration across all organizational levels.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring clarity and alignment within the organization.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates within a professional office and laboratory setting.
