Non-Destructive Testing Specialist

Job Summary:
The Non-Destructive Testing Specialist is responsible for performing inspections using various non-destructive testing methods on company aircraft and components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tests using established procedures and methods to ensure maximum quality of the product.
- Perform inspection duties, organize, and generate reports pertaining to inspection and evaluation.
- Prepare reports on all testing and evaluations to the appropriate department.
- Ensure that equipment used for testing is functioning correctly and in accordance with all applicable safety regulations.
- Perform daily system performance tests on equipment to ensure compliance with NDT standards.
- Interpret and perform cleaning procedures prior to NDT Inspections.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience with aircraft-related NDT, with ultrasonic testing required.
- Must be able to provide documented proof of previous training and qualification to meet the requirements on NAS 410 level II in the following methods: ultrasonic, fluorescent penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle.
- 2-5 years of experience working in manufacturing/maintenance facilities.
- FAA A&P License is required.
- High School education or GED required; some college is preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend written materials, write legibly, and perform basic math calculations accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
- Crawl in and out of tight spaces.
- Comfortably work at elevated heights of at least 40 feet for extended periods of time.
- Lift, balance, and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Work in enclosed hangars and exterior weather conditions.
