Job Opportunity

Powerwell is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Superintendent to join our client's Grand Rapids team. As a key member of the construction team, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading commercial construction projects in the field, planning, organizing, and managing daily operations on the job site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise jobsites, oversee subcontractors and trades, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, quality assurance programs, and safety assurance programs.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by enforcing standards and procedures.
  • Assist in project constructability and value engineering, as needed.
  • Expedite and monitor material and equipment approval, and oversee job closeout.
  • Administer progress meetings and meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures.

Requirements:

· Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, preferred, and at least 5 years of commercial construction experience.

· Construction Background: Expert knowledge of construction means and methods.

· Eye for Details: Accuracy is critical for success in this role. Candidate must have superior organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.

· Willingness to Travel: The majority of our client's projects are within a 1-hour drive of Grand Rapids. No overnight travel is required.

· Trust: Our client's clients return because they are honest, genuine, and authentic. Candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in dealing with sensitive matters.
