An incumbent in this role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of buildings and outside grounds. The incumbent serves as a lead worker, providing training and oversight to newly hired Facilities Sanitation Technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain the quality of work for part-time Facilities Sanitation Technicians to ensure adherence to standards and safety practices.
  • Perform general sanitation work according to institutional sanitation standards.
  • Assist with groundskeeping and limited maintenance as needed.
  • Clean and disinfect areas, including kitchens, bathrooms, and educational laboratories.
  • Operate equipment such as vacuums, scrubbers, and buffers.
  • Dispose of laboratory waste according to waste disposal procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of methods and procedures in use and application of chemicals, solvents, etc.
  • Ability to learn and apply sanitation techniques and safety procedures.
