We are seeking a talented Spacecraft Design Specialist to join our team at Vast, where you will play a crucial role in designing and building artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.

About the Role

As a Spacecraft Design Specialist, you will be responsible for owning the design of primary and secondary structures on a large-scale space station. This includes developing an understanding of static and dynamic loads, vibrations, and environmental considerations.

You will perform mechanical design and analysis, develop manufacturing drawings, test plans, and concept of operations. If you have a passion for designing innovative solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible in space exploration, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or physics.
  • 3+ years experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing mechanical components or systems.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
