We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer to enhance our operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role will be pivotal in analyzing and optimizing our manufacturing processes under the guidance of the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of labor standards to ensure they accurately reflect all components involved.
  • Explore and implement cost-effective and ergonomically sound work processes and layouts that optimize both capital and human resources.
  • Provide technical support and training to manufacturing and distribution management as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Engage actively in the planning and execution of facility cost reduction initiatives.
  • Design and coordinate facility layouts to ensure optimal process flow.
  • Establish and maintain accurate work standards that reflect true product costs, including developing allowance structures for direct labor operations.
  • Monitor and audit product costs within your area of responsibility.
  • Perform capacity and utilization analyses for machines and departments as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in detailed analysis with the ability to maintain focus over extended periods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Technical expertise in analyzing work process designs to maximize resource utilization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ergonomics and safety protocols in a manufacturing context.
  • Experience with M.O.S.T., spreadsheet applications, S.P.C., MRPII project management, and J.I.T. principles.
  • Skilled in capital project development and execution using advanced project management methodologies.
  • Willingness to comply with safety regulations and travel as necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience in a related manufacturing setting.
  • Preferred: One to three years of relevant experience.
