We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Creative Financial Staffing. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with standards, and effective financial management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Compile and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and SOX standards.
- Financial Analysis: Deliver accurate financial data to senior management on time, providing insights for business decision-making.
- Accounting Policies: Establish and update accounting policies and procedures, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, tracking budget performance and analyzing variances.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow management and optimize working capital, ensuring efficient management of accounts payable and receivable.
- Tax Compliance: Handle multi-state sales and use tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor the accounting staff, promoting a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- External Audits: Manage external audits and internal control evaluations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy, utilizing technology to streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA is a plus.
- Experience: At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, SOX, and internal controls; proficiency with accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing and service sectors, with knowledge of job costing and inventory control.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
