Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our engineering team at Engage Technologies Corporation. As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining packaging machine solutions to enhance our customers' manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement electrical controls engineering solutions, including hardware and software designs, for packaging machines and industrial process systems.
- Design and modify PLC and HMI programs and control systems for standard and custom packaging systems used in the food and consumer products industries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and ensure seamless integration with electrical systems.
- Ensure electrical equipment and designs meet required standards, such as NEC, IEC, NEMA, UL508A, CSA.
- Develop technical documentation for control system operations and maintenance.
- Provide technical support for on-site start-ups and conduct in-house factory acceptance testing.
- Work with the production and QC departments to refine and improve work processes.
- Meet defined schedules, deadlines, and goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to efficiently learn new PLC and HMI software platforms.
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly to time-sensitive needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Clean office environment.
- Periodic exposure to factory environment containing dust, machine noise and welding equipment.
- Periodic standing and walking.
