Job Title: Collision Estimator

The Tesla Collision Repair Program is seeking a skilled Collision Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our Body Repair Program, you will play a crucial role in supporting the latest EV technology and working with a world-class service team.

Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate repair estimates for collision-damaged Tesla vehicles, utilizing technical estimating principles and adhering to Tesla-specific repair procedures.
  • Develop repair plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Tesla's quality expectations.
  • Direct disassembly technicians to expedite the exposure of all damages, promoting efficient repair processes.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance companies to submit claims and facilitate billing.
  • Direct Collision Technicians in repair attempts where the Repair vs. Replace decision is unclear.
  • Keep customers informed about vehicle progress and ensure timely delivery.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive collision damage estimating.
  • Knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including CCC, Audatex, or Mitchell Estimating.
  • Automotive knowledge and a willingness to be cross-trained in career-advancing management roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • I-CAR certification is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Compensation and Benefits:

As a full-time Tesla employee, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, Aetna PPO and HSA plans, family-building benefits, dental and vision plans, and more.

Expected compensation: $28.75 - $54.44/hour, plus cash and stock awards, and benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on individual factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
