About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Transaction Attorney to join our team at Goldman Sachs. As a key member of our Asset and Wealth Management Division, you will play a critical role in supporting our Real Estate team in the Americas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide transactional counsel to our Real Estate team, focusing on real estate acquisition, development, construction, joint ventures, financing, leasing, asset management, and disposition.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential real estate investments, identifying issues and advising on mitigation strategies.
  • Negotiate various agreements, including term sheets, purchase/sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and financing documentation.
  • Work closely with our Compliance team to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with our Litigation Team on matters related to real estate investments.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience at a leading law firm, corporation, or financial institution.
  • Strong commercial judgment, analytical skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of initiative, integrity, and organization.
  • Significant experience with real estate transactional documentation.
