Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Dental Assistant to join our team at Dental Care Alliance. As a key member of our care team, you will provide support to our offices and assist our professional dental staff with treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established procedures and protocols.
  • Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them.
  • Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests.
  • Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment areas; positioning instruments for dentists' access; suctioning; passing instruments.
  • Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in patients' mouths.
  • Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
  • Maintain patients' appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations; cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
  • Help dentists manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directories.
  • Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
  • Required Skills:
  • X-ray & EFDA license
  • Experience working as a Dental Assistant (must have knowledge in implants & treatment planning)
  • Ability to travel (travel reimbursement included)
