Veterinary Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at United Veterinary Care. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and delivering outstanding service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgeries, dental care, and laboratory tests.
• Provide specialized nursing care for injured or ill animals.
• Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery.
• Assure that monitoring and support equipment are in good working condition.
• Collect specimens and perform routine laboratory procedures and tests.
• Maintain knowledge of preventative healthcare recommendations and provide education to clients.
• Inventory management and maintenance of pharmaceuticals, equipment, and supplies.

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician (preferred).
• Knowledge of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
