Creative Packaging Specialist

The Creative Packaging Specialist is essential to our legwear division, leading the design initiatives for packaging and merchandising concepts while adhering to established brand standards from the initial idea through to the completion of finalized, brand-sanctioned 'ready for press' files. This role requires a blend of creativity and strategic thinking, as it involves developing solutions that effectively communicate product features while remaining within defined brand parameters and budget limits. This position provides the chance to work with well-known national brands and participate in engaging photo shoots for packaging, as well as contribute to various digital marketing efforts across our broad range of brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Packaging Designer and the Packaging & Corporate Creative Services Team to brainstorm, design, and implement strategies across both print and digital mediums.
  • Act as a crucial member of the Marketing team, providing creative ideas and suggestions to enhance multiple projects.
  • Exhibit outstanding time management abilities to consistently produce high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Create and finalize packaging and display mechanicals to meet 'ready for press' (RFP) specifications.
  • Assist in photo shoots as needed, ensuring alignment with design goals.
  • Collaborate with Packaging Developers and Production Artists to maintain design quality throughout the packaging creation process.
  • Perform image retouching as necessary for packaging and display purposes.
  • Encourage teamwork across various departments such as Packaging Development, Compliance, and Design to achieve shared objectives and business targets.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Packaging Design and Point of Sale displays.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  • Exceptional creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization, and design capabilities.
  • Experience with licensed branding and the ability to interpret brand style guides for product extensions.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in creating 'ready for print' mechanicals.
  • Knowledge of photography and photo retouching.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Familiarity with PLM and Product Management software is a plus.
  • Airtable experience is an advantage.

Annual salary range starting at $70,000.
