Creative Packaging Specialist

The Creative Packaging Specialist is essential in leading the design journey for packaging and display solutions tailored for socks and hosiery, ensuring compliance with licensed brand standards from the initial idea to the production of finalized, brand-sanctioned "ready for press" files. This role requires a blend of creativity and resourcefulness, focusing on developing designs that effectively communicate product features while adhering to established brand guidelines and budgetary limits. The position also offers the chance to collaborate on well-known national brands and participate in engaging photo shoots for packaging, as well as contribute to various digital communication efforts across our broad brand portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Senior Packaging Designer and the Packaging & Corporate Creative Services Team to brainstorm, create, and implement design strategies across both print and digital mediums.
  • Act as a crucial member of the Packaging & Corporate Creative Services department, providing creative input and suggestions to enhance multiple projects.
  • Exhibit outstanding time management abilities to consistently produce high-quality work within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Generate and finalize packaging and display mechanicals to meet "ready for press" (RFP) specifications.
  • Participate in photo shoots as needed, ensuring alignment with design goals.
  • Collaborate with Packaging Developers and Packaging Production Artists to maintain design fidelity throughout the packaging development cycle.
  • Perform image retouching as necessary for packaging and display applications.
  • Encourage teamwork across various departments to achieve shared objectives and business goals.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in packaging design and point-of-sale displays.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  • Exceptional creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization, and design capabilities.
  • Experience with licensed branding and the ability to interpret brand style guides for product extensions.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in creating "ready for print" mechanicals.
  • Knowledge of photography and photo retouching is advantageous.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to address challenges.
  • Familiarity with PLM and Product Management software is a plus.
  • Airtable experience is also a plus.

The annual salary range begins at $70,000.

The disclosed salary range is based on experience and does not encompass the complete compensation package. Our team members have access to additional valuable benefits that our Human Resources department is eager to discuss with candidates during the interview process.
