Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in evaluating and integrating innovative cloud architectures and silicon technologies that are vital to our business operations.

Location: Flexible
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Contract Duration: Long-term engagement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct validation and benchmarking for various cloud configurations and instances.
  • Assess new hardware, components, firmware, and kernels for production environments.
  • Generate comprehensive reports for all validation and benchmarking activities.
  • Provide feedback on user experience related to our qualification and benchmarking platforms.
  • Collaborate with architects to create documentation and testing protocols.
  • Work closely with vendors to troubleshoot hardware issues encountered during production and qualification phases.
  • Support the Reliability Engineering team in diagnosing on-premises hardware challenges.
  • Oversee the lab environment to meet the requirements of internal engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of large-scale server hardware, data center networking, and OS deployment.
  • Proficient in qualification processes and testing tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems and performance debugging.
  • Familiarity with server hardware and its software dependencies.
  • Experience with multiple programming and scripting languages, such as C/C++, Python, and Go.
  • Cloud experience, particularly with platforms like GCP, OCI, or AWS.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce detailed documentation.
  • A collaborative team player who values collective success.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
