Job Title: Network Systems Engineer

Genesis10 is seeking an experienced Network Systems Engineer to join our team. This is a 12+ month contract position with our client located in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and design local and wide area network systems, including planning, evaluating, and configuring communication media.
  • Resolve interoperability problems to ensure seamless operations across all platforms.
  • Develop network solutions to migrate or implement network installs via lab simulation and MOP preparation, specifications, and scripts.
  • Lead cross-functional teams or provide engineering support as needed.
  • Work on-site for turn-ups and network-focused migrations from brownfield sites.
  • Conduct site due diligence work remotely.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Engineering to install new equipment for migration.
  • Configure new routers and create MOPs.
  • Prepare and submit firewall requests.
  • Execute MOPs in maintenance windows.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in network engineering.
  • Proficiency in Cisco and Juniper equipment.
  • Experience with BGP, OSPF, and VRF design.
