We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating x-ray and auxiliary equipment, processing images, and maintaining required documentation.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for exams and provide clear explanations of the examination process to alleviate anxiety.
- Operate x-ray equipment and controls to obtain correct exposure and monitor patient conditions in accordance with technical and safety standards.
- Recognize and report patient motor abnormalities, including fainting, discoloration, and contrast reactions, to the Radiologist.
- Process and maintain exposed images, labeling film for identification and maintaining required records.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
- New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
- Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.
- BLS through the American Heart Association.
The salary range for this position is $45-$85/hour. Northwell Health is an equal employment opportunity employer and provides a comprehensive benefits package to its employees.
