Kafka Architecture Specialist Job Opportunity

Overview: We at Diverse Lynx are seeking a talented Kafka Architecture Specialist to join our team.

Location: Hopkins, Minnesota (Day 1 onsite)

Experience: 6+ Years

Employment Mode: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement critical 24/7 applications with solid Kafka Admin experience.
  2. Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Linux and Cloud Services, with Azure cloud experience being a plus.
  3. Configure application or technical architecture components using business requirements.
  4. Gain hands-on experience with Kafka clusters hosted on any cloud.
  5. Utilize build pipelines using Ansible, Cloud formation templates (Terraform), shells, Jenkins, and GitHub.
  6. Implement security & authorization (permission based) on Kafka cluster.
  7. Work with open source Kafka, zookeepers, Kafka connect, and Kafka Manager.
  8. Maintain high availability cluster setup and ongoing support.
  9. Create topics, set up redundancy cluster, deploy monitoring tools, and alerts while having good knowledge of best practices.
  10. Evaluate Kafka APIs and provide technical expertise to production support staff.
  11. Involve in grouping/clustering and high-volume systems.
  12. Handle all Kafka environment builds, including design, capacity planning, cluster setup, performance tuning, and ongoing monitoring.
  13. Manage large scale multi-nodes cluster environments residing on any cloud.
  14. Perform day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for the Kafka cluster.

Requirements: Strong knowledge of Linux and Cloud Services. Azure cloud experience is a plus.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
