Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nutrition Therapist to join our team at Ascension Health. As a Clinical Nutrition Therapist, you will provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments for patients. You will assess patients for nutritional status, provide interventions and treatments, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments
  • Assess patients for nutritional status and provide interventions and treatments
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional regimen and recommend therapy adjustments as necessary
  • Provide nutrition information for the community through public speaking, news releases, and other forms of publications
  • Research and resolve nutrition care-related complaints and problems
  • Assist in monitoring meals, including intake, diet compliance, and tray accuracy, and maintain sanitation of food preparation areas

Requirements

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date required
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
