Clinical Nurse Specialist Opportunity at Memorial Sloan Kettering

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide clinical leadership in the areas of evidence-based oncology nursing practice, education, consultation, and research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership in the areas of evidence-based oncology nursing practice, education, consultation, and research.
  • Support MSK's patients with cancer diagnosis and the nursing staff who care for them.
  • Coordinate implementation of practice standards with colleagues across sites.
  • Demonstrate positive quality outcomes as it relates to nurse-sensitive indicators and patient and staff satisfaction.
  • Promote a patient-centered environment through collaboration with nursing leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support and cultivate Relationship Based Care in all aspects of care delivery.
  • Disseminate MSK oncology nursing practice standards and outcomes through abstract submission, podium presentation, and evidence-based research findings.
Requirements:
  • Current NY State RN license with CNS qualification required.
  • NY State RN license and NY State CNS qualification preferred (can be obtained during the first 6 months of employment).
  • Masters in nursing.
  • National certification.
  • 3+ years of related oncology experience.
  • Experience in an advanced nursing role is strongly preferred.
  • Self-direction and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
