The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Athletics is responsible for assisting in the development and management of individual and group strength training programs for men and women student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. This position may also be required to help manage the fitness center and supervise student worker staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage sport-specific individual and group strength training programs for men and women student-athletes.
- Assist in the management of the fitness center and supervise student worker staff.
- Collaborate with coaching staff to develop and implement strength training programs that align with team goals and objectives.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of improvement for student-athletes.
- Develop and implement training plans to address identified areas of improvement.
- Monitor and track student-athlete progress and adjust training plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with coaching staff, student-athletes, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful strength training program.
- Bachelor's degree required; admission in CC graduate program required.
- Experience in progressively responsible positions involving the development and management of sport-specific individual and group strength training programs for men and women.
- Experience with development and management of strength training programs at the college/university level preferred.
- Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) required.
- Excellent communication and supervisory skills required.
- Ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds required.
