Job Summary

The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Athletics is responsible for assisting in the development and management of individual and group strength training programs for men and women student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. This position may also be required to help manage the fitness center and supervise student worker staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage sport-specific individual and group strength training programs for men and women student-athletes.
  • Assist in the management of the fitness center and supervise student worker staff.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to develop and implement strength training programs that align with team goals and objectives.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of improvement for student-athletes.
  • Develop and implement training plans to address identified areas of improvement.
  • Monitor and track student-athlete progress and adjust training plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with coaching staff, student-athletes, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful strength training program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; admission in CC graduate program required.
  • Experience in progressively responsible positions involving the development and management of sport-specific individual and group strength training programs for men and women.
  • Experience with development and management of strength training programs at the college/university level preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) required.
  • Excellent communication and supervisory skills required.
  • Ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds required.
