Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to an insured vehicle for delivery purposes.
  • Ability to pass a background check and have open availability.

Training and Development:

Essential Functions and Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with the option to use a calculator.
  • Ability to make correct monetary change and process transactions accurately.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders efficiently.
  • Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
  • Ability to maintain cost controls and ensure efficient use of resources.

Work Conditions:

  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
  • In-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas.
  • Sudden changes in temperature in work areas and while outside.
  • Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and other environmental factors.

Physical Demands:

  • Most tasks are performed from a standing position, with walking surfaces including ceramic tile and linoleum.
  • Height of work surfaces ranges from 36 inches to 48 inches.
  • Walking is generally in short distances for short durations.
  • Delivery personnel must travel between the store and the delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location.
  • Lifting bulk product deliveries, weighing up to 50 pounds, with dimensions of up to 3 feet by 1.5 feet.
  • Carrying large cans, weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces, and occasionally pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds.
  • Pushing trays, which are placed on dollies, with a force of up to 7.5 pounds.
  • Climbing stairs or ladders to change prices on signs, wash walls, and perform maintenance.
