We are seeking a highly skilled Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our team at Arcfield. As a key member of our digital transformation initiative, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across the government.
Key Responsibilities- MBSE Adoption and Implementation: Participate in the adoption of MBSE in both customer and company domains, leveraging industry best practices to develop MBSE processes and methodologies.
- Systems Modeling and Analysis: Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using a MBSE tool suite, including COTS tools, UAF, SysML, and UML languages.
- Process Development and Integration: Define and demonstrate data standards, data structures, and supporting technologies required to manage data needs, and integrate enterprise tools to support requirements engineering, ERB process, CONOPS, and architecture development.
- Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate collaborative meetings between MBSE users and tool development teams to communicate modeling needs and innovate potential solutions.
- Technical Guidance and Advice: Provide technical advice and guidance to senior managers regarding the creation and implementation of new MBSE methods and techniques.
- Education and Experience: 8-10 years with BS/BA or 6-8 years with MS/MA or 3-5 years with PhD in engineering, physics, programming, or related technical degree.
- MBSE Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of UML/SysML modeling languages, experience applying this common structure to an MBSE solution, and proficiency in using SysML or other UML-based architecture modeling tools.
- Systems Engineering Processes: Experience with systems engineering processes in support of system life cycle development, including architecture, requirements engineering, CONOPS development, verification, test, and system integration.
- MBSE Implementation: Experience in MBSE implementation ranging from conceptual to physical implementations, including data modeling, data ingest, and model query.
- Communication and Leadership: Demonstrated communication skills, especially with tools developers and senior government officials, and commitment to recognizing, understanding, respecting, and operating effectively with various SETA, FFRDC, and the ability to lead and influence.
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, ability to relate professionally in the work environment with customers and colleagues, and responsible and reliable with the ability to multitask.
- Clearance: Must possess and be able to maintain a Top Secret/Secret Clearance with Polygraph.
