Job Title: Automotive Service Advisor

Join Hendrick Subaru Southpoint as an Automotive Service Advisor and play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for selling, identifying, and documenting service, maintenance, and repair services for customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with customers and technicians to identify required maintenance and repairs.
  • Advise customers on necessary and recommended services, ensuring they understand the work required to restore their vehicle to its optimal condition.
  • Offer additional services and repairs to customers, providing them with options to enhance their vehicle's performance and safety.
  • Compute the cost of replacement parts and labor, ensuring accurate estimates for customers.
  • Estimate the cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs, providing customers with a clear understanding of the work required.
  • Enter itemized estimates on service orders and explain them to customers, ensuring transparency and clarity.
  • Schedule appointments with customers, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Meet dealership standards for repair and order production, maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain CSI at or above Company standards, ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area, adhering to dealership policies and procedures.
  • Participate in required training, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
  • Follow Safeguards rules and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in automotive or customer service industries.
  • Working knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability and knowledge of the Dealership Management System and other web-based applications utilized for operations.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Work Environment:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. The employee will be exposed to load noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service repair conditions. The duties are generally performed in the service area, with frequent movement around the Service Department to convey information between customers and service technicians.

The employee will frequently interact with customers, service managers, and service technicians, as well as employees from various departments in the dealership. The work includes inspection of customer vehicles and conducting road tests on customer vehicles.

The employee must be able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. The employee must also be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

The employee must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. The employee must also be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with standardized situations.
