Telehealth Nursing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Telehealth Nursing Specialist to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Telehealth Nursing Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing remote healthcare services to our nation's veterans.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $61,869 and $121,930 per year, based on location and experience.
Job Summary:
This is a full-time, permanent position with the Department of Veterans Affairs, working in the Lexington VA Health Care System. The successful candidate will work as part of a telehealth team to provide remote healthcare services to veterans.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and technical skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide remote healthcare services to veterans, including conducting virtual consultations and developing treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Conduct routine patient assessments and monitor patient outcomes.
- Communicate with patients and their families to educate them about their healthcare and treatment options.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with healthcare providers and patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback to improve processes.
- Document and communicate patient information and updates to the healthcare team.
- Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager, CC/HT.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:
- A current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- One year of experience in a telehealth setting.
- Excellent communication and technical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Other relevant qualifications may be considered.
