Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and evaluate staff performance to ensure timely completion of custodial operations.

  • Meetings and Reviews: Meet with supervisors to review schedules, concerns, issues, and review issues and concerns and maintain consistency with procedures, cleaning practices, training, counseling, and reviews.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control inspections and follow-up, meet established timelines, oversee contractors' performance, and monitor work scheduled to ensure timely completion.
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget by controlling costs for labor, inventory, equipment, and materials, complying with budget requirements, and making adjustments when needed.
  • Technical Proficiency: Possess technical proficiency in custodial services, including Housekeeping techniques, knowledge of all cleaning product chemicals, equipment, and their hazards.
  • Program Implementation: Maintain and implement the use of Sodexo custodial SMS program as well as the use of the CMMS work control program.
  • Employee Management: Manage by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct, and motivate them.
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Coordinate with the purchasing department to procure materials and services; monitor purchases within budgetary constraints.
  • Safety and Compliance: Establish a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory and maintenance.
  • Work Planning and Direction: Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise employee performance; reward and discipline employees; and address complaints and resolve problems with support and guidance from our HR manager.
