Security Officer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC). As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our clients' properties and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular and random patrols of multiple premises to prevent and deter crime
  • Report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to management
  • Perform control procedures and operate emergency equipment as needed
  • Document nightly operations and file weekly reports
  • Investigate breaches of property and take necessary actions
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • Sound communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Professional presentation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, 7 days a week, and have reliable transportation
  • Active cellphone and clean criminal background
  • 21 years of age and ability to pass a drug screen
Physical and Mental Job Requirements:
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret written information under various circumstances
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle and detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress
  • Ability to walk, run, stand, climb, sit, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high
  • Good mental health and ability to make decisions instantly in emergency situations
