Nurse Practitioner Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Care Unit team at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME.
About the Job
- As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will provide high-quality patient care to patients with cardiac conditions, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- With a strong focus on patient safety and satisfaction, you will use your clinical expertise to assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to promote optimal outcomes.
- You will work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, manage complex cases, and make decisions that prioritize patient well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and managing medical equipment.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing patient-centered care and coordinating efforts across departments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maine
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to lift, move, and position patients with cardiac conditions, potentially weighing 30-50 pounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and ability to learn hospital-specific systems
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, and weekends
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
