About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Accountant to join our team at Luminys Systems Corporation. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Closing Processes: Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing necessary journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process and verify invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts payable transactions. Generate and send invoices to clients, track outstanding receivables, and perform regular follow-ups to ensure timely collection.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to support financial planning.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Contribute to the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
