We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Office Receptionist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient patient registration process.
Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Accurately register all patients to the hospital in accordance with established procedures, ensuring all necessary information is gathered and documented.
- Pre-Registration: Pre-register patients for services, gathering all required information, including billing details, to ensure seamless processing.
- Document Scanning: Accurately scan all required documents into the patient's account, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Scheduling and Notifications: Schedule patients for all required services, and fax notifications to insurance companies as needed.
- Advanced Beneficiary Notice: Complete Advanced Beneficiary Notices for patients as required, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Patient Flow and Cash Handling: Manage patient flow, collecting payments on patient accounts at time of service and balancing designated cash drawers at the end of each shift.
- Insurance and Billing: Assist patients with insurance, billing, and other inquiries, verifying insurance benefits and notifying patients of any requirements.
- Departmental Support: Direct patients to the correct department or area of service, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Confidentiality and Compliance: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and Christus Health policies.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Licenses and Certifications: C-Heartsaver certification preferred.
