Candidate Profile

We are seeking a results-oriented individual to spearhead revenue growth for our precision machined components by identifying and securing new business opportunities. The Business Development Director will engage with our various operational sites, focusing on enhancing sales and pipeline activities related to our precision machining and assembly services.

This position is primarily based in Avon, OH, with the possibility of hybrid or remote work.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients to enhance our market position and secure additional business through collaborative efforts.
  • Lead the identification and expansion of our customer base and business opportunities, requiring cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building within and outside the organization.
  • Utilize industry knowledge to research accounts, identify key stakeholders, generate interest, and prepare comprehensive business proposals.
  • Evaluate current capabilities and provide strategic insights on additional competencies that would enhance our standing as a premier provider of machined components.
  • Position our machining services across various sectors, including commercial aerospace, medical, defense, and other high-spec industrial applications.
  • Contribute to our strategic acquisition initiatives by assessing and recommending additional capabilities or manufacturing expansions.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts of customer engagements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Fulfill administrative duties, including managing a current CRM pipeline and timely report submissions.
  • Engage in relevant industry associations and events to promote our services.
  • Manage project responsibilities with partial supervisory duties without direct reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in business development or a related industry.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and understanding the criteria for suitable opportunities.
  • Experience in an engineering-focused environment with a deep understanding of the processes utilized.
  • Exceptional presentation skills suitable for executive-level engagements.
