We are seeking a highly skilled Word Processor 3 to join our team at the State of Iowa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for editing and correcting documents, reports, and other written materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Edit and correct documents, reports, and other written materials for accuracy, grammar, and clarity.
- Create comprehensive reports incorporating interviews, narratives, exhibits, and other documents.
- Transcribe investigative documents, including sensitive cases such as homicide, kidnapping, and child pornography.
- Proofread documents for accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
- Develop and revise forms, handbooks, and other documents as required.
- Upload documents into imaging systems.
- Assist with training new employees and distributing workload.
- Assist supervisor with evaluating new templates.
- Assist other DCI Support Operations units with projects as needed.
- Ability to type at least 40 WPM NET.
- Two years of full-time experience in word processing functions such as text editing, formatting, document storage, and retrieval.
- High attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and maintain focus on time-sensitive tasks.
