Claims Representative Role

At FBL Financial, we're seeking a skilled Claims Representative to join our team. As a Claims Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, analyzing claims, and ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of customer inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze incoming claims to ensure all necessary information is complete and accurate.
• Review claims to determine company liability according to internal procedures and policy provisions.
• Communicate benefit and settlement option information to agents and beneficiaries prior to payment and payment explanation to beneficiaries at time of payment.
• Calculate and process claims according to contract language, state statues and legal requirements.

Requirements:
• Three years of relevant experience required.
• Claims processor or related work experience preferred.
• Previous life insurance and/or annuity experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in delivering exceptional customer service.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
