Mobile Engineer III, iOS

The Expedia Partner Solutions Engineering team is seeking a talented developer with a strong background in creating iOS applications supported by scalable web services.

The selected developer will join a team focused on developing, deploying, and maintaining advertising units across Expedia properties, requiring familiarity with a diverse array of web technologies.

Candidates should possess exceptional skills in native iOS app development, substantial experience in Swift or Objective-C, and the ability to produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

This role will involve working on high-traffic websites, utilizing a wide range of innovative technologies.

  • Design and implement new user interfaces and logic to deliver engaging and informative ad content.
  • Integrate iOS app functionalities with existing ad server systems using REST and GraphQL.
  • Provide design and architectural recommendations to enhance ad content presentation and user experience.
  • Ensure modular and scalable design and architecture of iOS applications.
  • Develop new features for iOS applications, adding value for travelers and increasing average usage.
  • Optimize applications for performance and user-friendliness.
  • Ensure that visual designs are meticulously executed and leverage unique iOS capabilities for a truly native experience.
  • Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and product owners to continuously enhance customer experience within the iOS platform.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in developing large-scale iOS applications.
  • Proficient in iOS frameworks such as Cocoa and XCode.
  • Experience in developing backend services, including RESTful APIs and GraphQL, is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with A/B testing is a plus.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional Agile team.
