As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Cleveland Clinic Health System, you will work under the direction of a registered nurse or physician to provide basic bedside care to patients of all ages. Responsibilities- Collects and documents objective and subjective data and observations about the patient's health information.
- Implements the current plan of nursing care at the direction of the RN or the medication or treatment authorized by the authorized directing health care provider.
- Documents and verbally communicates the patient's response to the nursing plan of care or the medication or treatment.
- Contributes to the revision of the nursing plan of care.
- Provides education and information to patients and family members.
- Participates in the departmental orientation of new employees in a positive manner.
- Maintains professional growth and development within the nursing field.
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
- Current Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
- One year of patient care experience preferred.
The position requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination, and extensive standing and walking. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range are also required.
