About the Role

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Services Student Intern to support our team at the Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken, South Carolina.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Construction Subcontracts Technical Representatives in administering project specifications and field execution for assigned projects.
  • Participate in effectiveness reviews on subcontractor ES&H, schedules, and field implementation.
  • Develop knowledge of construction/engineering principles.
Requirements
  • Enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four-year university.
  • Currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Math, Chemistry, or MBA in Project Management.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
  • Pass General Employment Training (GET) and Drug and Alcohol Testing (DAT) before starting work at SRS.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Students currently enrolled at the University of South Carolina Aiken and connected through the Veteran Center for Student Success are encouraged to apply.

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, responsible for managing the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site's Liquid Waste operations contract.
