About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Engineering Student Intern to join our team at Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC). As a Construction Engineering Student Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects and gain valuable experience in the field of construction engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support for facility and project-related construction activities
  • Participate in technical aspects of construction, field management, and stakeholder communication
  • Assist in the development and implementation of construction plans and schedules
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited four-year university
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Math, Chemistry, or MBA in Project Management
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
  • Must pass General Employment Training (GET) and Drug and Alcohol Testing (DAT)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Students currently enrolled at the University of South Carolina Aiken and connected through the Veteran Center for Student Success are encouraged to apply
About SRMC

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, responsible for managing the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site's Liquid Waste operations contract. We are a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor.

Pay and Benefits

SRMC Student Intern Limited-Service Employees (LSEs) are eligible for a limited benefits package. Compensation will be determined by approved calendar year government rates. The starting rate is USD $18.00/Hr.
