As a key member of our team at Professional Employment Services, you will be responsible for the day-to-day account management of commercial lines accounts. This includes securing renewals for existing business, providing internal support to producers as they pursue new business opportunities, and rounding out their existing book of business.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day account issues for clients
• Manage an assigned book of business of $600,000 in revenue or less
• Market accounts by completing applications, submitting to eligible and appropriate carriers, and following up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies
• Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals for word processing
• Prepare premium allocations for clients as needed
• Order and issue policies, verify them for accuracy, and deliver to clients
• Process renewals in coordination with the Producer, occasionally taking the lead in renewal meetings with the client, strategy determination, marketing, and carrier negotiations
• Prepare coverage recommendations for client approval
• Frequently accompany the Producer on client meetings
• Support the Producer to maintain the current book of business and new business placement
• Serve as the primary contact for the client on most issues
Personal and Professional Development
• Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities
• Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, coworkers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts
• Remain informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology
• Must have experience in an insurance brokerage/agency for a minimum of 5+ years and a Property & Casualty license.
